| New xanga. http://xanga.com/crazyasianjew ...it's a long story. | | |
| what a turbulent three days these past 72 hours have been. I'm almost looking forward to Monday's arrival.
yay for making a fool of myself in public and having multiple break downs. yay for the the amount of homework i've yet to complete. yay for having to go friday with this damned civil war project (sorry linda and sheeba!)
i've got such a headache. ow. back to work i go.
| It's a small thing, and it probably won't make much sense to most people. But. I was very relieved to find out that what I had suspected years ago was true. Ahem. I am a mezzo soprano. Thank you.
It's just always nice to have a bit of confirmation. Like, I know I'm a decent writer, decent musician, etc. etc., but sometimes I just need to hear it to keep believing it.
I dunno if you still read this, but thanks, Alex. You can be suprisingly nice sometimes. =P (no comments from the peanut gallery, plz kthx, especially not you, seven tiles).
The last time I went to crew I felt really clueless and out of place and like I was a tremendous burden to everyone there because I had to keep asking what to do next, so I've just never been back. Every year I mean to, but so far, I haven't. Maybe this will be the year. Not that it really matters; there's a whole bunch of people who are really loyal and don;t have to stop to think over whether they're going to go.
Two concerts within three days of each other whilst ill. Boy, that sure was fun. /sarcasm. Actually, the time right before choir concerts are usually fun because I know a bunch of people in the higher choirs and don't get to see them that often. I hope it'll fit in my schedule next year.
I should learn how to speak Korean. Then I might have a clue as to what everyone's saying. Need to work on Russian too.
| Thanks, Liz and Stitch ^_^
Soo...my 17th birthday. Went to school. As I was leaving Hebrew, I mentioned to my bud Ari that it was my birthday, so he told the teacher, who then made everyone sing Happy Birthday in Hebrew. Then as I was leaving math, Anna gave me balloons and a present. I almost started crying...hahaha I'm such a sap. Aaannd her and Candace...at least I think Candace was involved somehow...decorated the locker! Yay. Unfortunately I have no time to stop at my locker ever, but I walked by it and it looked nice. Bachman gave me a pencil and had everyone sing Happy Birthday. That was nice too. In gym, I found out that curfew no longer applies. w00t w00t.
After the assembly, I went with a bunch of the JV girls to Charhouse. Anna was nice again and went with me to admire the lovely floats. Then we came back to school and hung out on the bleachers. Carrie (Kari? Cari? how does she spell her name?) and I were general dorks and sang lots of RHPS songs. Hahaha, "Ohmygod, that was you, wasn't it?" Sorry! And "Wait, you mean he isn't?"
Theen we hit around for a while and some photographer tooks photos for yearbook. Then Francis Parker came. Our usual line up got screwed up, so I wound up playing 3rd doubles with Rachel, who usually plays 1st doubles. Anyways, we were the only ones to win on varsity. Not too shabby for never having playing together before. And, uh, considering the fact that I'm a singles player.
Theen Diana put her stuff in my car (well, my mom's) and came along for the ride while I ran inside my house to change shoes, then we went to Noodles & Company with Brianne and Candace. Then we went to the football game and had a little tennis section. I took Diana home somewhere in the middle of the third quarter (wait...do they have quarters in football?) 'cause it was getting boring. Except for the part where I saw Carly and found out that she goes to the games with people to be cheerleaders for the marching band. That was cool.
So...yeah. Nothing big. 'twas a nice day.
*u totally give me 2 much credit (n then make fun of me *sigh* but do recall im faster! hehe j/k i dont care...n wow its amazin how long we can talk of is/isnt isn't it?) n yes it was originally candace's idea...i shall give her due credit...but we decorated it together...n congrats on ur match! i totally forgot to ask u how it went...uve gotten sooo much better this season n ur balls spin soo much (hahaha...that sounds funny...damn pepsi) its realli NOT fair to ppl how cool u r (read the wristband ) ~ur partner in law, not crime (those were the good old dys huh?)*

| Today in school totally sucked. Except for my voice lesson, which didn't completely suck. And Hebrew, which was pointless, but nuts. Also playing Wicked music in band was pretty cool. But, anyways, after school was much better. I GOT MY SEED FOR CONFERENCE! w00t w00t. I beat the girl from MS today, so I get to play Waukegan first in conference ^_^ Which means I'll get about as far as 4th place, but still. It's better than fifth! And then afterwards I found out that we're not having practice tomorrow. Would've been nice if there was nothing today so I could come home and study like crazy for the multiple choice part of the U.S. test, but meh. I started dancing around the locker room. Heh. Have a buttload of math and physics to do for tomorrow. Must. Not. Fall. Asleep. Thanks to everyone who let me look at their US notes/answered questions about IDs today. You rock.
My birthday's on Friday, 9/30. 17. Wow.
